Dee’s Pico de Gallo salsa

Pico de Gallo

OK, I’ve been asked to start sharing some of my recipes. Problem is, I rarely use a recipe! A little of this…a little of that…taste test, and more of this…you know how it is.

However this one is super easy, and much like an infamous hot sauce…we put this sh*! on EVERYTHING!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Ingredients

  • 4-5 ripe tomatoes
  • 1 Cubanelle pepper
  • 1-2 Jalepeno peppers (depending on how much heat you want)
  • 1 medium onion
  • juice of one lime
  • palm-sized bunch of fresh cilantro

Instructions

If you have a food processor, put everything except the lime into your food processor and use the chopping blade.

Use the lowest setting so you chop everthing, not pulverize it. You want a nice chunky salsa, not a blended sauce.

Transfer your now chopped salsa into a bowl, add the lime juice and mix with spoon.

You’re done.

This garnish is fantastic on eggs, chicken, steamed veggies…just about anything.
